With the aim of harnessing the full potential of its industrial design, Diemmebi is committed to designing furniture that is easy to assemble and patenting its innumerable contents of form and utility. It also aims to obtain the most stringent environmental and structural certifications given the multiple uses for which the furniture is designed and the countries in which they are installed.

Consequently, we have a UNI EN ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System alongside modern equipment and technology for design, development and production. Diemmebi considers the contribution and cooperation of highly-qualified and motivated personnel in every area of the company to be fundamental. Diemmebi has always considered it its duty to adopt an approach aimed at protecting the environment and focusing on the issues of its workers’ health and safety. Safety intended as the involvement in and continuous improvement of the quality of the production process; Health intended as looking after our employees and protecting them as they go about their work. Since 2019, Diemmebi Spa has certified its plastic products with Remade in Italy. Concern for the “environment” is not only realised and put into practice in the company by complying with all the laws and regulations that impose respect for the environment, but also extended and concentrated in the explicit commercial aim of introducing recycled products onto the market. Since 2019, all new products, barring obvious technical impossibilities, are moulded in recycled plastic from industrial waste. Recent European regulations and indications on minimum environmental criteria (MEC) and on the concepts of environmental sustainability, green economy, and others have resulted in Diemmebi spa investing steadfastly in certified recycled plastic products by offering and distributing the product not only in areas of public procurement, but also in direct sales for private use.
The environment belongs to us all, as well as future generations. A company, regardless of what it produces, must include the respect and protection of the environment among its core values.
In our vision of things, a design object must have an intrinsic industrial vocation. Respecting the highest standards of quality and durability is made possible by our primary approach to the product design. Industrialising a product means maintaining constant quality standards while lowering production costs which in a more artisan supply chain would not be possible.
We ask a lot of our products: to be comfortable, attractive, practical and long-lasting. These requirements are allimportant for us, to the extent that the creation of a new product or collection only occurs after in-depth research and study of materials, resistance and comfort, to give the end user a reliable and long-lasting product in terms of both quality of the materials and design. Our products are, in fact, designed not to age and not depend on fleeting fashion trends. The design times can vary greatly because we always try to introduce innovative elements in every project. Right from the design phase, we take into account the technical and construction implications related to the production potential of Diemmebi. The time from the idea to the production of the product is relatively short. The request to design a new product usually stems from a strong market requirement, marketing research or from an idea by the designers. The must-have features are then defined, plus the materials and production costs, followed by the prototypes and tests that the product must undergo. Finally, there is the engineering and commercial launch, which is required to make the product known and ensure its features are appreciated by a wider audience.
The company researches and develops products with an Italian style, featuring the signature high standards of innovation and design. It is no coincidence that it has been a supporter of the Foundation dedicated to the work of Achille Castiglioni, one of the fathers of Italian design, from whom it draws inspiration to produce real objects for real needs on a large scale. A range of products that has successfully expanded year after year with the spirit of renewal and innovation focusing on the across-the-board nature of its products to meet the needs of a wide variety of uses and a constantly and rapidly evolving market.
Since November 2019, Diemmebi spa has adopted an Organisational and Management Model (OMM) in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 231 of 2001. Model 231 adopted by Diemmebi is committed to compliance with national and international laws on labour, civil rights and the protection of minors.
The company’s “Code of Ethics” is also approved for the same reasons. It is a document drawn up to define and express the fundamental values and ethical principles which guide the company in running its business and day-to-day activities. The code of ethics is the charter of fundamental rights and obligations that defines the ethical and social responsibilities (both internally and externally) of the company and the values it embraces. Diemmebi partners with large industrial companies even through more conventional subcontracting, providing support and advice for the manufacture of office and contract products with a view to codesign with customer investment in machinery and moulds for specific products. Diemmebi is open to discussing product exclusivity with its customers to further protect their sales network against competitors. In the production facility, Diemmebi and Urbantime share the cutting, bending, moulding, robot welding and coating of metal structures, guaranteeing effective quality control over the entire production chain and enabling the best solutions to be selected for each product, whether standard or customised. The assembly of the semi-finished components and packaging for shipment also take place here. The manufacturing nature of the company allows a large part of the production costs to be overseen whilst pursuing the goal of offering truly innovative products.
