GENEALOGY OF A CHAIR
A steel wire bends, embarks on a journey, creates a three-dimensional space, a void to be filled that is enriched at each destination of the journey, welcomes more in a hug and becomes seat. It does not stop; other objectives lie ahead. It is a network that expands and reaches places very far from each other.
A particular story, an innovative approach to the project, everyone can plan their own journey, build a custom itinerary to obtain the result that best represents it. A process that reflects the DNA of a company like Diemmebi, able to reactively respond to a reality that requires more and more dynamism and versatility.
La Filò
It all started from here. A steel wire designs a seat, it hugs backrest and seat keeping them firmly united without the use of screws. An object of slim design, ethereal, not bulky. The Filò is easy to handle, can be stacked up to 40 units, it crowds the conference rooms with a silent touch, without stealing the spaces, yet keeping its own personality. It is designed to be available in all the variants that the Community sector requires: with armrests, on wheels, as a bench, it welcomes the little table, it connects with the other ones.

S’mesh
S’mesh retains all the qualities of the Filò. It is the backrest that makes it unique. It was made with a system of curves and counter-curves that maintains the tension in the fabric, which characterizes it, so that it ergonomically adapts to the back of the user. It is assembled and disassembled without the use of screws and can be customized in countless ways. The Non· Competition ‘Dress your Chair’ has amply demonstrated it. Thanks to its innovative character, S’mesh was selected by the ADI Design Index in 2016.
Splash
Tailor-made for companies. The story of Splash is particular, and fully expresses the potential of the whole project and the character of a company like Diemmebi, which interacts dynamically with its interlocutors. Splash is a family of chairs created with the intent to meet the needs of some particular clients that wanted a product with an exclusive design but that kept all the qualities of S’mesh. What was theorized in the Non· Competition with Splash has become reality.
Busy
Structurally, it has been designed with an inverse logic compared to the other seats. It is the printed aluminium monocoque that embraces the structure. The assembly is done through a special technology that allowed us to wrap the metal sheet to the rebar. A ‘polka dots’ pattern characterizes Busy and makes it lightweight and easy to handle. It is designed fully coloured for outdoor use, but dresses with unique elegance for the indoor version, with the chromed steel frame.
